Check the opener and the door together
An opener problem can involve the remote, wall control, safety sensors or drive system. A mechanical door problem can also look like an opener failure. Checking both helps identify what needs attention before deciding on repair or replacement.
Tell us whether the wall control works, whether the motor makes a sound and whether any lights are flashing. You do not need to diagnose the fault yourself. These observations help us understand the service request.
Remote or wall control issues
Request help when a remote, keypad or wall button does not operate the door reliably. Let us know which controls work and which do not.
Door reverses or will not close
Safety-sensor or travel-related issues may affect closing. Describe when the door stops or reverses, and keep the doorway clear.
Motor runs but the door does not move
The cause may involve the drive, connection to the door or the door mechanism itself. An assessment helps separate the possible faults.
